Anyone 65 and older, teachers and full-time students Wear comfortable fitted clothing. Please advise instructor of any injuries or special physical considerations prior to class. Plan to arrive 5-10 minutes before the start of class to sign in Please avoid wearing strong colognes & perfumes. Mats and props will be provided. Basics for beginners or for those students who would like to master the fundamentals of yoga asanas or poses.
Level 1-2 a more challenging class for beginners and intermediate students.
Into Series a Four week introductory series for anyone new to yoga, or wanting a refresher course. An excellent way to start your practice, this class meets twice a week for 4 weeks. Call for registration and start dates.
Restorative Yin seated poses held for 3-10 minutes to release connective tissues. This gentle practice will open your body and enhance your overall sense of well-being while you develop breath awareness. Many of the postures will be supported by blankets and bolsters. Let your cares drift away as you melt into the floor in these relaxing poses.
Skinny Buddha In this class we will weave powerful yoga postures with zen-like weight training. We will crunch, lunge and sun salute our bodies to uncover the Skinny Buddha that lives within. Come expecting to sweat and leave expecting to feel strong and powerful. Light weight training will strengthen bones, as well as muscles to help prevent osteoporosis. Preserving or increasing muscle mass indirectly benefits the heart by improving the ability to burn fat. What's more, strong is powerful, as you empower your body you will not only look and feel great, you will notice a difference in your yoga practice as your body strengthens. (returning this summer).
Gentle Yoga easy stretching, working with the breath. The use of props makes the class work for any student at any level.
Bella Luna In Italian, “Beautiful Moon,” is the literal translation of “Bella Luna.” In a Bella Luna class, students can expect to challenge themselves to express their creativity from the inside out through asana practice. Since the moon would not shine were it not for the sun, Bella Luna classes will combine sun salutations with a variety of poses that will offer self-reflection. Bella Luna is a multi-level class that aims to complement anyone’s yoga practice or exercise regimen.
The Practice for the intermediate/advanced students with a clear understanding of the Anusara Principles of Alignment who want to raise the bar of their practice. More advanced poses are introduced. This class has less adjustments as the instructor practices with the class.
